Job Description
The Technical Graduate Trainee (Software Development) role is a structured training and development programme designed to equip young graduates with hands-on experience in programming, software development, and cybersecurity practices.
Working closely with the software engineering team, trainees will participate in real-world projects, learn industry best practices, and gain exposure to MAXUT’s technology stack. The program is designed to transition successful candidates into full-time software development roles within the company.
Key Responsibilities
Software Development & Execution
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Gain practical experience with MAXUT’s technology stack.
Best Practices & Continuous Learning
- Apply modern software engineering tools and methods.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies.
- Support DevOps activities including integration and deployment.
Collaboration & Support
- Work with senior developers, product managers, and designers.
- Collaborate with QA teams to resolve defects.
- Provide support in resolving customer-reported issues.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure development aligns with compliance and security standards (PCI-DSS, ISO, NDPR).
- Maintain clear technical documentation.
- Follow organizational standards for version control and code management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Technical Skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Capable of working both independently and within a team.
- Proactive and creative in problem-solving.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript).
- Familiarity with databases, APIs, and web/mobile app development.
- Understanding of Git or other version control systems.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Knowledge of secure coding is an added advantage.
