Bayero University Kano (BUK) is recruiting qualified candidates to fill 494 academic positions across multiple faculties and departments. Positions are available at the following levels:
- Graduate Assistant
- Assistant Lecturer
- Lecturer II
- Senior Lecturer
- Associate Professor
- Professor
Available Departments Include (but not limited to):
- Medicine, Nursing Science, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Public Health, Physiotherapy, Radiography, and Medical Sciences.
- Engineering: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical & Petroleum, Agricultural & Environmental, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology.
- Social Sciences & Humanities: Mass Communication, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Law, History, Languages, Theatre & Performing Arts, Education, Library Science, etc.
- Natural & Applied Sciences: Chemistry, Physics, Biological Sciences, Microbiology, Plant Biology, Geology, Geography, Environmental Management, Mathematics, Statistics, and related fields.
- Veterinary Medicine and related disciplines.
Qualifications & Requirements
Graduate Assistant
- First Degree with First Class or Second Class Upper Division in a relevant field.
Assistant Lecturer
- Master’s Degree in a relevant field.
Lecturer II
- Ph.D., or Master’s Degree with relevant professional certification/experience.
- MBBS/BDS holders with full registration are eligible.
Senior Lecturer
- Ph.D. (or equivalent) with at least 6 years relevant experience and 10 publications.
Associate Professor
- Ph.D. (or equivalent) with at least 9 years cognate experience and 15 publications (lead author in at least 5).
Professor
- Ph.D. (or equivalent) with at least 12 years cognate experience and 20 publications (lead author in at least 10).
