Job Description
The Application Support Analyst will ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications within Shell. The role involves technical support, incident resolution, application upgrades, system documentation, and collaboration with users and teams to optimize performance and enhance user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for business applications and resolve incidents promptly.
- Monitor application performance and proactively identify improvement areas.
- Collaborate with business users to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Work with development and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Maintain application documentation, support procedures, and knowledge bases.
- Support application upgrades, patching, and testing activities.
- Ensure compliance with Shell’s IT security and data integrity standards.
- Deliver user training and onboarding for new or updated applications.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in application support or IT operations.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and service management best practices.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications (e.g., Power Platform, SharePoint, Primavera, PI).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is an advantage.
- Excellent documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience in Agile and DevOps environments is a plus.
