Job Description
M-KOPA is expanding its engineering team and hiring multiple Senior Backend Engineers (Levels I, II & III) to develop and scale event-driven microservices that power financial inclusion across Africa.
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems.
- Develop microservices architecture hosted on Azure using Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with distributed teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in continuous delivery, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
- Engage in mission-driven engineering that directly impacts millions across Africa.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (BA/BSc/HND).
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET development.
- Experience building and deploying event-driven systems.
- Proficiency in microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with DevOps culture, continuous integration, and infrastructure as code.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills in distributed teams.
- Openness to continuous learning and feedback.
- Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Prior work in FinTech or large-scale software systems.
