Job Description
Julius Berger Nigeria is currently recruiting a Scaffolding Supervisor to join its construction team in Abuja. The role involves supervising all scaffolding erection and dismantling activities, ensuring strict adherence to safety and fall protection standards, and coordinating work at heights. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring team operations, maintaining scaffold integrity, and enforcing compliance with safety procedures on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and fall protection standards.
- Inspect scaffolds to verify structural integrity and stability before use.
- Coordinate work schedules and oversee scaffold teams on-site.
- Conduct safety briefings and enforce proper use of PPE.
- Report safety incidents or equipment faults promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of scaffolding activities and inspections.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in a relevant field.
- Proven supervisory skills and scaffolding experience.
- Knowledge of dismantling techniques and working at heights.
- Proficiency in fall protection systems and scaffolding safety practices.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work independently while ensuring team efficiency and safety.
- Relevant certifications in scaffolding or safety management will be an added advantage.
- Prior experience in the construction industry is desirable.
