Job Description
The Sales Manager will lead bulk edible oil sales across the assigned territory. The role involves developing effective sales strategies, expanding market reach, managing key accounts, and achieving defined sales, revenue, and profitability targets. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong business development skills, excellent customer relationship management, and a deep understanding of FMCG sales dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive bulk edible oil sales.
- Manage key accounts and maintain strong business relationships.
- Conduct market visits to gather insights and identify sales opportunities.
Revenue & Performance Management
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales volume and revenue targets.
- Monitor sales performance and recommend corrective measures.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build long-term customer loyalty and retention.
- Provide product knowledge, technical guidance, and after-sales support.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and customer preferences.
- Prepare accurate sales reports, market analyses, and performance dashboards.
- Recommend strategic improvements in pricing, product mix, and promotions.
Operations & Coordination
- Coordinate with production, supply chain, and logistics teams for stock availability and timely deliveries.
- Manage distributor operations, including stock levels, order cycles, and route-to-market efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBA in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in sales preferably FMCG or bulk edible oil.
- Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the sales territory.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); digital skills are an advantage.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to grow in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Fluency in local language is an added advantage.
