Job Description
The Transport Audit Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing audit activities related to transport operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and strengthening internal control processes. The role also involves supervising junior staff and ensuring compliance with accounting and audit standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct transport operations audits and financial reviews.
- Monitor compliance with internal control procedures and financial policies.
- Perform financial reconciliation and variance analysis.
- Prepare audit reports and financial summaries for management.
- Ensure accurate documentation of transactions and operational records.
- Supervise and guide junior audit staff when required.
- Support the implementation of audit recommendations and process improvements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 – 5 years relevant experience in audit, accounting, or financial control.
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or ICAN is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems and audit processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., BUSY).
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and reporting skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and supervise junior staff.
