Job Description

British American Tobacco Nigeria is recruiting fresh graduates for its Global Graduate Programme (Operations) based in Ibadan, Nigeria.

This 18-month rotational leadership development programme is designed to prepare graduates for future leadership roles within BAT’s operations division. Participants will receive structured training, global exposure, and practical experience across different operational functions.

During the programme, graduates will participate in the BAT Graduate Academy, which includes a global training experience where participants collaborate with fellow graduates and senior professionals from across the company’s international network.

Key Areas of Exposure

Participants will gain experience in several operational units, including:

  1. Manufacturing (Make): Hands-on exposure to production processes.
  2. Supply Planning (Plan): Learning how to balance demand and supply efficiently.
  3. Logistics: Understanding supply chain flow and distribution strategies.
  4. Procurement: Managing supplier relationships, innovation, and cost optimization.
  5. Service Operations: Supporting global business services and consumer-focused operations.
  6. Product Innovation: Working with marketing and sales teams on product development initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.
  • Maximum of three years of post-graduate work experience.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, technical, or operational environments is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to undertake national or international mobility assignments.
  • Membership in relevant professional bodies is considered an advantage.
