Job Description
The company is seeking a results-driven Field Procurement Officer to oversee the sourcing and purchase of palm kernel seeds across Ondo and Ekiti States. This role requires frequent field engagement, supplier relationship management, and quality assessment of agricultural produce.
Key responsibilities
- Sourcing and building relationships with palm kernel suppliers across Ondo and Ekiti States
- Traveling regularly to procurement locations
- Inspecting and testing palm kernels to ensure quality standards
- Negotiating prices to achieve cost-effective procurement
- Coordinating logistics and transportation of goods to the factory
- Maintaining accurate procurement records and reporting to management
- Providing market insights and updates on supply trends
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in agro-commodity procurement
- Strong knowledge of palm kernel quality assessment
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Existing supplier network in Ondo/Ekiti is a strong advantage
- HND/BSc in a relevant field (experience is highly prioritized)
- High level of integrity and accountability
