Job Description
The Energy Law Manager will provide legal advisory and regulatory support to Nigerian Agip Exploration Ltd and other Eni subsidiaries operating in Nigeria.
The role involves handling legal matters related to contracts, governance, litigation, regulatory compliance, and commercial agreements while supporting the company’s operational and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on contracts, licenses, and commercial agreements
- Support governance, corporate secretarial, and regulatory matters
- Participate in meetings with government agencies and external stakeholders
- Manage legal representation and litigation processes
- Coordinate with external legal advisers and service providers
- Support portfolio management activities including mergers and acquisitions
- Liaise regularly with the Eni Legal Department on critical legal issues
- Participate in internal and external legal working groups
Qualifications & Requirements
- Law degree from a recognized Nigerian university
- Registration with the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA)
- Previous experience in similar managerial legal roles
- Experience working in-house or within a law firm environment
- Strong understanding of energy law, contracts, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
