Job Description
The Data Entry Officer will be responsible for the accurate collection, updating, verification, and management of operational and inventory-related data across business units. The successful candidate will support efficient warehouse and inventory processes by ensuring timely and error-free data entry and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather supplier invoices, waybills, and GTN documents for Pie Production Units, Central Kitchen, and Chicken Republic stores
- Input and update data accurately into databases, spreadsheets, and bin cards
- Create spreadsheets containing large volumes of figures with high accuracy
- Verify entered data against source documents such as bin cards and Excel records
- Identify errors and escalate discrepancies to the appropriate personnel
- Correct errors and organize records for efficient retrieval
- Retrieve data from electronic systems and databases when required
- Maintain organized filing systems for hard copy documents
- Support inventory and warehouse documentation processes
- Perform additional duties assigned by management
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BSc, or B.Com) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
Experience Requirements
- 0–3 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations, data entry, or related fields
Skills & Competencies
- High proficiency in data entry techniques
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel formulas and functions
- Good analytical and data gathering skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good communication and reporting skills
