Job Description

Ngcom Network Solutions is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Legal Officer to join its team in Lekki, Lagos. The successful candidate will provide legal support across the organization by handling contract management, regulatory compliance, legal research, corporate governance, and advisory services.

This role is ideal for a recently called lawyer looking to build a career in corporate and commercial law within the telecommunications industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and proofread contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and provide sound legal opinions on business-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal company policies.
  • Prepare and file legal and regulatory documents as required.
  • Support the management of legal disputes and liaise with external legal counsel when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of contracts and legal documentation.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and advise management on their implications.
  • Provide legal support to departments including Human Resources, Sales, Procurement, and Finance.
  • Assist with corporate governance activities and company secretarial functions.
  • Perform additional legal and administrative duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants should possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (LL.B.) in Law.
  • Call to the Nigerian Bar (B.L.) is mandatory.
  • 0–2 years post-call experience in a law firm or corporate legal environment.
  • Good knowledge of Nigerian:
    • Corporate Law
    • Commercial Law
    • Labour Law
  • Strong legal drafting and legal research skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
