Job Description
SustyVibes is inviting applications for two exciting internship opportunities for passionate, organized, and purpose-driven individuals looking to build careers in nonprofit management, executive coordination, fundraising, and programme development.
Both roles offer a hybrid work arrangement, a six-month internship (renewable based on performance and organizational needs), and an opportunity to work with one of Africa’s leading youth-led sustainability organizations.
Available Positions
1. Executive Assistant to the Founder (Intern)
The Executive Assistant Intern will provide administrative and strategic support to the Founder by coordinating schedules, managing communications, preparing reports, organizing meetings, and supporting executive operations. This role is ideal for individuals interested in executive administration, organizational leadership, and nonprofit management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Founder’s calendar, appointments, and priorities.
- Coordinate Board of Trustees and Advisory Board meetings.
- Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, briefing notes, and presentations.
- Screen emails and assist with correspondence.
- Coordinate stakeholder meetings and external engagements.
- Support website and social media updates related to the Founder’s activities.
- Organize travel arrangements and meeting logistics.
- Maintain confidential records and administrative documentation.
- Liaise with departmental teams to monitor tasks and organizational priorities.
- Support workflow improvements and the adoption of digital collaboration tools.
2. Grants and Fundraising Intern
The Grants and Fundraising Intern will support SustyVibes’ programme team by identifying funding opportunities, assisting with proposal development, maintaining donor databases, and contributing to project design and donor engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Research grant and funding opportunities.
- Maintain a database of grant deadlines and donor requirements.
- Assist in writing grant proposals and funding applications.
- Support project design and proposal development.
- Compile research, project data, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain communication with donors and funding partners.
- Assist with partnership development and collaborative funding opportunities.
- Represent SustyVibes at networking events, webinars, and donor information sessions where required.
Qualifications & Requirements
Executive Assistant to the Founder (Intern)
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline.
- 0–2 years of experience in executive support, administration, or coordination.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong alignment with SustyVibes’ mission and values.

Grants and Fundraising Intern
Applicants should possess:
- Educational background in Humanities, Social Sciences, or related disciplines.
- Exposure to grant writing, programme management, or monitoring and evaluation.
- Strong research, proposal writing, and editing skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English (French is an added advantage).
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of donor funding mechanisms is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
