Job Description
Greenland Hall is seeking a dynamic, organised, and technology-proficient Administrative Officer to support its daily administrative and operational activities.
The successful candidate will serve as a key point of coordination within the school, managing front-office communications, maintaining student and staff records, supporting school activities, and helping ensure efficient administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Handle telephone calls, correspondence, and official communications professionally.
- Maintain accurate student admission records, attendance information, and academic documentation using digital school management systems.
- Coordinate staff schedules and monitor leave requests.
- Manage office supplies and maintain appropriate inventory records.
- Support the onboarding and administrative induction of new staff.
- Assist with planning and coordinating school events, examinations, parent-teacher meetings, and extracurricular activities.
- Prepare and circulate internal memos, notices, and other administrative communications.
- Work with the Accounts Department to monitor fee payment records and issue receipts where required.
- Support compliance with the school’s internal administrative procedures and policies.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling student, staff, and institutional information.
- Perform other administrative duties relevant to the effective operation of the school.
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education Management, Secretarial Studies, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of relevant administrative experience, preferably within a school or educational environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with school management systems, digital databases, or related administrative technology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A professional, courteous, and approachable manner.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to efficiently manage a busy school administrative environment.
- High levels of discretion, integrity, and professionalism when handling confidential information.
