Job Description
Mshel Homes Limited is seeking a Civil Engineering NYSC Intern to join its Projects Department in Lekki, Lagos.
The successful Corps Member will support the engineering and project teams in monitoring construction activities, conducting site inspections, tracking project progress, maintaining technical documentation, and assisting with other engineering-related tasks across the company’s property development projects.
This opportunity is designed to provide practical exposure to live construction and real estate projects while allowing the intern to learn from experienced engineering and project professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Projects and Engineering teams in monitoring ongoing construction activities.
- Participate in project site inspections and communicate observations to supervisors.
- Assist with monitoring project progress against approved schedules and plans.
- Prepare and organise site reports, engineering reports, and other project documentation.
- Assist with measurements, quantity checks, and basic technical assessments.
- Monitor the use and movement of construction materials when required.
- Help identify and report construction delays, defects, site issues, and safety concerns.
- Organise and maintain technical drawings, project records, and related documentation.
- Assist with communication and coordination involving contractors, artisans, suppliers, and other stakeholders under supervision.
- Maintain proper filing of engineering and project documents.
- Participate in departmental and project meetings and provide updates when required.
- Support compliance with approved project specifications and quality requirements.
- Perform other engineering and project-related duties assigned by management or the Head of Department.
Qualifications & Requirements
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
- Must be a serving NYSC Corps Member seeking a Place of Primary Assignment (PPA).
- Basic academic understanding of construction processes, building practices, and engineering principles.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or other engineering software is an added advantage.

- Ability to interpret and understand basic technical drawings.
