Job Description
RoseWater Partners is recruiting qualified candidates for its Graduate Trainee – Audit & Tax Articleship Program in Lagos.
The trainee will gain practical exposure to audit, taxation, financial documentation, regulatory compliance, and accounting processes while supporting experienced professionals on client assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with statutory, internal, tax, and compliance audit assignments.
- Review and verify financial transactions, accounting records, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare audit working papers, schedules, and other relevant documentation.
- Perform account reconciliation, vouching, and verification procedures.
- Assist in gathering and reviewing information required for audit assignments.
- Communicate with clients to obtain relevant documents, explanations, and clarifications.
- Support field audit activities and other special assignments.
- Gain practical exposure to different industries, business processes, and financial structures.
- Maintain accuracy and confidentiality when handling financial and client information.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Applicants must have O’Level credits in at least five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
- Candidates must be registered as ICAN Students.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a professional services environment.
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally in accounting, audit, and taxation.
