Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review and negotiate contracts and legal documents.
Provide legal support for funds, investments and transactions.
Handle corporate governance and company secretarial duties.
Develop legal policies, procedures and compliance protocols.
Monitor laws, regulations, licences, approvals and statutory filings.
Conduct compliance risk assessments.
Prepare regulatory reports and filings.
Liaise with regulators, solicitors, auditors, investors, bankers and other stakeholders.
Advise management on regulatory and legal developments.
Qualifications & Requirements
LL.B (Bachelor’s Degree in Law).
Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in legal, regulatory, compliance, corporate, commercial or investment practice.
Knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory requirements.
Familiarity with SEC, NGX, CAC, NFIU and other regulatory bodies.
Investment management knowledge is an advantage.
Project finance, transaction structuring and cross-border transaction knowledge is desirable.
Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency.
