Job Description

NRC is recruiting a Grants Intern to support the Grants Officer and contribute to efficient grants management processes within the country program.

The role involves ensuring compliance with donor requirements and NRC policies, maintaining organized documentation, updating grants trackers, coordinating internal meetings, and supporting communication between grants, program, finance, and M&E teams.

This internship is an excellent opportunity for young graduates to gain hands-on experience in humanitarian grants management and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

Generic Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with NRC policies, procedures, and donor regulations.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support to the Grants team.
  • Maintain structured filing and documentation systems.
  • Support process improvements and workflow optimization.
  • Update grant trackers and management tools.
  • Coordinate project cycle management (PCM) meetings and follow up on action points.
  • Uphold professional ethics, confidentiality, and reporting standards.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Track donor requirements, reporting deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate communication between program, finance, and M&E teams.
  • Support the organization of meetings, workshops, and trainings.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records.
  • Assist the supervisor with additional tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related fields.
  • 0–2 years’ experience in grants, project support, or administration.
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Interest in humanitarian and development work.
