Job Description

Sahel Capital is seeking highly motivated and analytical Graduate Trainee Analysts to join its Lagos office. Successful candidates will support transaction execution, financial analysis, market research, portfolio monitoring, and investment reporting while receiving structured mentorship and professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare investment appraisal documents for private equity and private debt funds
  • Conduct market, industry, and company research across targeted West African markets
  • Support value-creation initiatives within portfolio companies
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations and Word reports summarizing analyses and investment recommendations
  • Assist senior management with strategic initiatives and transaction support activities
  • Participate in portfolio monitoring and investment execution processes

Qualifications & Requirements

Required

  • NYSC completion is mandatory
  • 0–2 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly

Preferred

  • CFA Level I completed or currently pursuing the CFA qualification
