Job Description
Schlumberger invites applications from qualified graduates for the 2026 Graduate Internship Program, which offers hands-on experience, professional learning, global exposure, and opportunities to work with advanced technologies within the energy sector.
The program features two available positions:
1. Human Resources Intern
Role Description
The HR Intern will support employees and managers across key HR areas including recruitment, performance management, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and HR policy administration. This role is ideal for graduates seeking deep exposure to world-class HR systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support employees through interaction, feedback, and guidance.
- Coordinate meetings and sessions on HR policies.
- Assist managers in using HR tools and interpreting policies.
- Support employee engagement programs.
- Coordinate recruitment, training, and internal events.
- Assist with team-building and CSR initiatives.
- Participate in HR improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and HR guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Industrial Relations, Management, or related fields.
- 0–2 years of experience (recent graduates encouraged).
- Must have completed NYSC.
- Strong MS Office proficiency.
- Quick learner with strong problem-solving and initiative.
2. Completions Maintenance Technician
Role Description
The Maintenance Technician ensures the timely delivery, maintenance, and repair of completions equipment. The role focuses on reliability, asset uptime, preventive maintenance, and workshop operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment in line with maintenance programs and CMMS.
- Build and pressure-test completions sub-assemblies.
- Record maintenance activities, costs, and performance history.
- Support continuous improvement plans to enhance asset utilization.
- Reduce downtime and improve turnaround time.
- Participate in training and competency development programs.
- Mentor technicians and support knowledge-sharing.
- Ensure HSE compliance and quality documentation.
- Utilize digital tools and maintenance systems effectively.
Qualifications & Requirements
- HND in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum, or Metallurgy Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in oilfield completions workshop operations.
- Proven hands-on knowledge of completions tools and technologies.
- Strong understanding of CMMS and maintenance methodologies.
- Knowledge of tubulars, thread connections, materials, and test fixtures.
