Job Description
Schneider Electric is inviting applications for its 2026 Graduate Trainee and Apprenticeship Programs. These programs are tailored for fresh graduates who are passionate about energy, automation, and sustainability. The initiative provides hands-on technical experience, structured learning, mentorship, and career development in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Available Programs:
- Graduate Trainee Program (General) – 24-month rotational program with exposure to installation, commissioning, diagnostics, and maintenance of real-world systems.
- Apprenticeship Programme – Nigeria – A 24-month technical apprenticeship within the Services Business Unit, transitioning successful candidates into Field Service Representative roles.
- Graduate Trainee Program – Process Automation – Specialized 24-month track focusing on process automation, energy, oil & gas, and industrial control environments.
Qualifications & Requirements
General Graduate Trainee Program
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics, Computer, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Telecommunication, or Robotics Engineering.
- Recent graduate (2025) or graduating within the next 6 months.
- Strong interest in field-based technical work.
- Proactive, analytical, eager to learn, with excellent collaboration skills.
Apprenticeship Programme
- Bachelor’s or HND in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Graduate in 2025 or awaiting graduation within 6 months.
- Academic standing: First Class Honours (GPA 3.90 – 4.00) or Second Class Upper (GPA 3.70 – 3.89).
- Prior internship/industrial attachment in engineering environments is an added advantage.
- Technical certifications (e.g., PLC Programming, AutoCAD, Renewable Energy Systems) are desirable.
Graduate Trainee Program – Process Automation
- Bachelor’s degree in Automation & Control, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Chemical Engineering, or Embedded Systems.
- Recent graduate (2025) or graduating within 6 months.
- Relevant internship experience in process control, oil & gas, or energy & chemicals is preferred.
- Must be available for on-site work with strong technical interest.
