Job Description
Domeo Resources International is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Account and Operations Intern / Entry-Level professional to support its finance, operations, and administrative functions.
The role provides practical exposure to accounting, budgeting, compliance, payroll, procurement, operations, and general administrative activities. It is suitable for recent graduates and early-career candidates who are eager to develop practical professional skills.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting Support
- Maintain basic financial records and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist with preparing routine financial summaries and reports.
- Support bank reconciliation activities.
- Track expenses and assist with payables and receivables documentation.
- Organise financial information to support management decision-making.
Budget & Cost Monitoring
- Assist in monitoring expenses against approved budgets.
- Identify and report discrepancies or budget variances to supervisors.
- Support cost-control initiatives through accurate documentation and reporting.
Compliance & Documentation
- Assist with preparing documentation for statutory obligations, including VAT, PAYE, WHT, and pension filings, under supervision.
- Organise documents required for audits and compliance reviews.
- Liaise with internal teams to collect relevant compliance information.
Payroll & Treasury Support
- Assist with payroll preparation by organising attendance records and payroll inputs.
- Support petty cash management and basic fund reconciliations.
- Maintain records of cash movements and supporting documentation.
Operations & Administrative Support
- Support the coordination of daily operational activities across departments.
- Assist with procurement activities, vendor communication, and inventory tracking.
- Help ensure timely availability of office supplies and operational resources.
- Document workflows and identify opportunities for simple process improvements.
Facilities & Asset Support
- Maintain records of company assets and consumables.
- Support routine checks of facilities and equipment usage.
- Assist with promoting compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
HR & Team Support
- Assist with maintaining employee records and attendance information.
- Support filing and documentation activities.
- Assist with onboarding new employees, including documentation and orientation coordination.
- Participate in team activities and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare basic weekly or monthly reports covering assigned finance and operational activities.
- Support communication and information flow between departments.
- Escalate operational or financial issues appropriately.
- Provide regular updates to supervisors on assigned tasks.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree, OND, or HND in Accounting or Finance.
- Recent graduates and NYSC members are encouraged to apply.
Experience
- 0–1 year of work or internship experience is preferred.
- Previous exposure to accounting, administration, or operations is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn and develop on the job is essential.
Skills & Competencies
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of basic accounting software is an advantage.
- Good time-management and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and follow instructions.
- Strong integrity and confidentiality when handling financial and organisational information.
- Positive attitude, initiative, and willingness to grow professionally.
