Job Description
The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for managing the firm’s Purchase to Pay (P2P) process, ensuring timely and accurate handling of invoices, staff claims, payments, and vendor accounts. The role also includes reconciliation, SAP vendor management, and support for financial reporting and audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage payment requisitions, invoicing, and purchase orders.
- Prepare vendor payment schedules and perform account reconciliations.
- Complete month-end and year-end procurement accruals.
- Handle vendor setup, updates, and reconciliation in SAP.
- Reallocate costs and reconcile General Ledger (GL) balances.
- Support purchase order closure and fixed asset accounting.
- Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting or a related discipline (minimum of Second Class Lower/Lower Credit).
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Professional qualification or part qualification (ICAN, ACCA).
- Minimum of five credits in WASSCE/NECO including English and Mathematics (one sitting).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
