Job Description
Stanbic IBTC Bank is seeking an Application Support Officer to support and manage critical banking applications and systems used across its operations.
The role involves ensuring the stability, availability, and efficiency of core banking applications, troubleshooting system issues, and supporting continuous service delivery within a fast-paced banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support and administration for core banking applications such as Finacle and related services.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application and system-related incidents.
- Ensure timely response and resolution of IT service requests and incidents.
- Support deployment of application patches and system updates.
- Assist in containerized application deployment and orchestration.
- Develop and support APIs and system endpoints.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal governance standards.
- Collaborate with technical teams to improve system performance and reduce incidents.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Computer Science or related field.
- Professional certifications are an added advantage.
- 3–4 years of experience in application support or core banking systems.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL.
- Experience with Linux/Unix administration and Windows Server environments.
- Knowledge of Python, scripting, automation, backup & restore operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.
