Job Description

Bourbon Oil and Gas Limited is hiring for two full-time engineering roles in Lagos, Nigeria. These positions offer dynamic career opportunities for maritime professionals in the offshore energy industry.

1. Chief Engineer
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of vessel engines, machinery, and technical equipment
  • Supervise all technical departments and engineering personnel onboard
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures and environmental protection standards
  • Plan and manage preventative and corrective maintenance tasks
  • Support the Master with legally sound instructions and crew supervision
  • Supervise or delegate oversight of onboard ‘hot work’ operations
  • Ensure safety compliance through risk assessments, checklists, toolbox talks, and PPE use
  • Execute technical assignments as directed by the Technical Manager
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (tonnage-dependent)
  • Prior experience onboard supply vessels as Chief or 2nd Engineer
  • Up-to-date STCW certifications and other required mandates
2. Electrical Technical Officer (ETO)
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct electrical operations and maintenance under Chief Engineer’s guidance
  • Identify and report electrical issues; assist with temporary/permanent repairs
  • Perform duties on up to three vessels as a Flying ETO
  • Support DP maintenance tasks when required
  • Participate in watchkeeping as instructed
  • Maintain compliance with safety and company procedures
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Valid ETO License (STCW III/6)
  • At least 4 months seatime as ETO on AHTS, OSV, or MPSV vessels
