Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Brand Manager to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. The role is responsible for leading brand/category strategy, innovation, and execution to drive revenue growth, brand value, and consumer love.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management
- Lead end-to-end delivery of innovation projects.
- Develop business cases, objectives, and opportunity sizing.
- Conduct 4Cs analyses, value chain evaluation, and P&L assessments.
- Ensure financial viability and operational feasibility.
- Manage multi-functional projects and commercial launch planning.
2. Commercial Operations Leadership
- Plan, execute, and track brand programs including product launches, pricing strategies, and consumer/channel activations.
3. Business & Budget Management
- Oversee demand planning, innovation reviews, and budget tracking.
- Monitor marketing spend and ensure efficient P2P processes.
4. Creative & Campaign Leadership
- Lead creative processes from agency briefing to campaign execution.
- Develop key visuals, shopper programs, and integrated brand experiences across TV, radio, digital, and experiential platforms.
- Manage agencies and enforce brand standards, VIS, and pack design principles.
5. Strategic Marketing Leadership
- Analyze business issues and growth opportunities.
- Define “Where to Play/How to Win” strategies.
- Identify consumer habits, USP, and execution models.
- Share knowledge and drive thought leadership.
6. Marketing Metrics & Reporting
- Prepare brand letters, conduct business reviews, and pre/post-campaign reporting.
7. Brand Governance
- Ensure compliance with brand standards and consistent application across all platforms.
Qualifications & Requirements
- HND/BSc in Marketing, Market Research, Psychology, Statistics, or related fields.
- Professional certifications (CIM, NIMN, etc.) are a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience, with at least 5 years in brand management (preferably in FMCG or agency/multinational consumer goods).
- Strong understanding of category business models and consumer behavior.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint essential).
- Ability to develop compelling business and activation briefs.
- Knowledge of brand asset management and design principles.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and collaboration skills.
