Job Description

FCMB is inviting applications for the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ibadan, responsible for driving the financial strategy and ensuring the institution’s long-term financial sustainability.

The CFO will oversee all financial planning, reporting, budgeting, analysis, and compliance functions. The role requires strong leadership to guide the finance team, optimize operational efficiency, and support the bank’s strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial management and long-term financial strategy
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and regulatory reports
  • Develop, monitor, and manage budgets across departments
  • Evaluate financial risks, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory policies and reporting standards
  • Provide insights to guide business decisions and growth initiatives
  • Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve departmental excellence
  • Manage financial systems, tools, and performance dashboards

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong expertise in financial planning, management, and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and analyze financial statements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership, team management, and cross-department collaboration abilities
  • Proficiency in financial software and digital reporting tools
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Professional certifications such as CFA, ACCA, or ICAN are highly preferred
  • Experience in banking, microfinance, or other financial institutions is an added advantage
