The Executive Assistant (EA) will provide high-level administrative, strategic, and operational support to the CEO of a fast-growing telecommunications startup preparing for launch in Nigeria. This role is central to the effectiveness of the CEO’s office, ensuring seamless coordination, informed decision-making, and efficient execution across the organization.
Job Description
Executive & Administrative Support
Manage the CEO’s calendar, appointments, travel schedules, and daily priorities, proactively resolving conflicts.
Organize domestic and international travel arrangements, including visas and detailed itineraries.
Handle sensitive correspondence and administrative documentation with the highest level of confidentiality.
Meetings & Stakeholder Coordination
Coordinate logistics for Board meetings, investor engagements, and executive leadership meetings.
Prepare briefing notes, presentations, reports, and executive communications.
Track action items and prepare minutes from Board and leadership meetings.
Serve as the primary liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders, protecting the CEO’s time and ensuring effective communication flow.
Strategic & Operational Support
Conduct research on telecommunications, digital, and startup ecosystem trends to support executive decision-making.
Support company launch and early growth initiatives by tracking project milestones, deliverables, and risks.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments.
Assist in managing relationships with partners, technology vendors, and regulators.
Qualifications & Requirements
5–10 years’ experience supporting C-suite executives or senior leadership
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field
Professional certification in Office Management, Project Management, or Executive Administration (an advantage)
Prior experience in telecommunications, digital, fintech, or startup environments (preferred)
Demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules and engage senior-level stakeholders
Strong executive writing and presentation skills
