The Factory Accountant will maintain strong manufacturing financial controls, ensure accurate product costing, monitor inventory integrity, and verify timely processing of vendor obligations in line with company policies and compliance standards.
Job Description
Support the engineering and maintenance teams in resolving technical and financial issues.
Reconcile inventory (Raw Materials, Packaging, Finished Goods) regularly to ensure data accuracy.
Prepare and circulate periodic inventory and cost reports.
Enforce manufacturing finance controls across production, warehouse, and engineering teams.
Review suppliers’ invoices and documentation for completeness and validity.
Process vendor payments and ensure timely approvals and submission to the treasury unit.
Respond to internal and external audit queries related to payables.
Ensure all factory costs are captured and recorded promptly.
Conduct periodic materials price checks and maintain accurate system pricing.
Analyze product cost data and provide insights to support management pricing decisions.
Participate in month-end closing activities.
Reconcile General Ledger and Sub-ledger accounts with supporting schedules.
Ensure compliance with company safety, health, and environmental policies.
Uphold quality, food safety, and NDPR compliance standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
Professional Certification (Preferred):
ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
Experience:
3–5 years of relevant experience in factory or manufacturing accounting.
Solid background in inventory accounting, product costing, and cost control.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Navision, SAP) or other accounting software is an advantage.
