Job Description
The Retail Finance Officer will work closely with retail station officers to manage, support, and monitor business records across assigned outlets. The role involves financial reconciliations, transaction management, and providing accurate financial reporting to ensure operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage finance operations and records for assigned retail stations.
- Review and collate retail sales reports from locations.
- Perform cash and non-cash reconciliations for retail outlets.
- Record transactions in the ERP accounting system.
- Resolve financial disputes raised by sales teams.
- Identify and correct finance issues, discrepancies, and related challenges.
- Support the Retail Finance Manager and executives on projects.
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements.
- Provide necessary support during external statutory audits.
- Ensure timely and accurate presentation of financial reports.
Qualifications & Requirements
- First degree (BA/BSc/HND) in Finance-related fields.
- Higher qualifications will be an added advantage.
- Professional certification in accounting (ACA, ACCA, etc.) required.
- 2–5 years post-qualification experience (experience in downstream oil & gas is an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations (including POS transactions).
- Understanding of inter-company transactions and related accounting treatments.
- Self-motivated, diligent, and a strong team player.
