Job Description
Matrix Group is seeking a Fleet Officer to join its logistics and transportation division in Warri, Nigeria. The ideal candidate will assist in coordinating, monitoring, and managing the organization’s fleet operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily fleet operations and monitor vehicle movement.
- Assist in scheduling and dispatching vehicles to meet operational requirements.
- Monitor fuel usage, maintenance schedules, and driver performance.
- Support the implementation of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Utilize GPS tracking systems and route planning tools to optimize fleet performance.
- Collaborate with mechanics, drivers, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate fleet records and reports using Microsoft Office tools.
- Assist in identifying and resolving logistical or operational issues promptly.
Qualifications & Requirements
- National Diploma (ND) in Computer Science, Logistics, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in logistics, transportation operations, or related roles.
- Knowledge of GPS tracking systems, route planning software, and fleet management tools is an advantage.
- Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team-oriented, with good interpersonal and coordination abilities.
- Knowledge of transportation laws, safety regulations, and compliance standards is an added advantage.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
