Job Description

FairMoney is seeking an experienced Golang Backend Engineer to join its distributed engineering team. The ideal candidate will contribute to designing, building, and maintaining backend services that power FairMoney’s financial products. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, solid engineering principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain backend services using Golang.
  • Participate in system design, code reviews, and collaborative development processes.
  • Build scalable, secure, and maintainable backend systems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to collect requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Implement software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to microservice-based architectures and cloud-native deployments.
  • Support production systems, ensuring stability, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of backend software development experience using Golang.
  • Strong problem-solving and object-oriented design skills.
  • Solid verbal and written communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience contributing to or building complex software systems delivered successfully to customers.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices including coding standards, source control, testing, and CI/CD.
  • Basic knowledge of microservices architecture.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; GCP/Azure acceptable).
  • Ability to collaborate with users, technical teams, and senior management to gather requirements and develop technical designs.
