About Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was established under the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with the mandate to organize elections into various political offices in the country. INEC plays a critical role in safeguarding Nigeria’s democracy through free, fair, and credible elections.
Job Description
INEC invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for its 2025 Adhoc Staff Recruitment across Anambra, Delta, Enugu, and Imo States.
Available positions include:
Supervisory Presiding Officer (SPO)
Eligible Applicants: Federal Public/Civil Service staff and MDAs permanent staff on GL 10–14; INEC staff (RAOs and other permanent staff not engaged in other duties, GL 09–14).
Presiding Officer (PO)
Eligible Applicants: NYSC serving corps members; former corps members (not later than 4 years post-service: 2022–2025); INEC permanent staff on GL 07–08; Federal/State MDAs staff with OND or GL 07–10; penultimate-year students of Federal Tertiary Institutions.
Assistant Presiding Officer I (APO I)
Same eligibility as Presiding Officer (see above).
Registration Area Technician (RATECH)
Eligible Applicants: INEC ICT staff (States & HQ) not engaged in other election duties.
RAC Manager
Eligible Applicants: Heads or suitable staff (GL 07 and above) of schools/institutions hosting RAC or Super RAC.
Qualifications & Requirements
General requirements for all categories:
- Applicants must not be members of any political party.
- Applicants must not have publicly supported any candidate or party.
- Applicants must be residents of Anambra, Delta, Enugu, or Imo States.
