Job Description

Save the Children Nigeria is seeking a highly motivated Intern Data Analyst, Data Insights to support the organization’s PRIME Data Fix Initiative. The successful candidate will assist Country Offices with resolving indicator data issues within the PRIME system and contribute to improving data quality across various programmes.

This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in data management, results-based monitoring systems, and international development while collaborating with diverse teams across multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Country Offices to collect accurate indicator information required to resolve data discrepancies.
  • Implement approved indicator corrections within the PRIME system using established guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintain detailed records of all corrections in a shared tracking system to facilitate real-time monitoring and reporting.
  • Escalate complex or unclear issues to the assigned coordinator for resolution.
  • Support data quality improvement initiatives by ensuring accurate and timely data entry into project logframes.
  • Contribute to maintaining reliable strategic dashboards and reporting systems used by organizational leadership.
  • Work closely with the global Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) team and regional stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in:
    • International Development
    • Business Administration
    • Data Management
    • Statistics
    • Computer Science
    • Or any related discipline.

Experience & Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy when working with data.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions within established guidelines.
  • Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with multicultural and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Proficiency in:
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with collaborative tools such as SharePoint is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Previous experience in data analysis through internships, projects, or academic assignments is desirable.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, ethics, and organizational values.

Language Requirements

  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in French and/or Spanish will be considered an added advantage.
