Job Description
1. Customer Service Executive (CSE)
The Customer Service Executive will be responsible for ticketing, reservations, check-in, boarding, and baggage services. This role ensures smooth passenger handling while delivering excellent customer service in line with UNA standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage ticket sales, reservations, and boarding processes.
- Ensure payments are completed before ticket issuance.
- Provide up-to-date information on flight schedules, timings, and fares.
- Oversee passenger check-in, boarding, and baggage procedures.
- Reconcile sales and excess baggage charges daily.
- Validate passenger identification and generate accurate manifests.
Qualifications & Requirements
- HND or B.Sc. in any discipline (advanced degree is an advantage).
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication, sales, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work late hours in a high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
2. Baggage Handler
The Baggage Handler is responsible for the safe, timely handling of passenger luggage, including loading, unloading, and transport at the airport.
Key Responsibilities
- Load/unload luggage and ensure it matches flight lists.
- Transport luggage from check-in areas to departure areas.
- Safely handle baggage during adverse weather conditions.
- Operate conveyors, baggage trucks, and loading equipment.
- Identify suspicious luggage and report immediately to security.
- Record and resolve baggage discrepancies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- OND, HND, or B.Sc. qualification (minimum high school diploma acceptable).
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Good physical fitness and strength.
- Ability to work under pressure and in late shifts.
- Mechanical aptitude to operate handling equipment.
3. Station Manager
The Station Manager will oversee all domestic, regional, and international flight operations at the assigned station, ensuring safety, efficiency, and superior customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage station operations including customer service, ticketing, ground handling, and security.
- Ensure compliance with UNA manuals, aviation regulations, and safety standards.
- Lead and supervise station staff, contractors, and ground handling agents.
- Represent UNA at airport and regulatory authority meetings.
- Manage station budgets, contracts, and operational efficiency.
- Handle irregular operations and initiate service recovery efforts.
Qualifications & Requirements
- HND or B.Sc. in any discipline (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3–4 years’ experience in airline operations or related role.
- Strong leadership, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Nig.CARs and IATA ground handling operations (including dangerous goods).
- Ability to work under extreme pressure and make quick decisions.
