Job Description
Reckitt Benckiser Nigeria is currently seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee logistics operations and supply chain activities across the West African region.
The successful candidate will manage logistics strategies, optimize warehousing and freight operations, coordinate third-party logistics providers, and ensure operational efficiency across inbound and outbound supply chain processes.
This role is ideal for professionals with strong leadership capabilities, analytical expertise, and experience in FMCG logistics and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Supply Chain Management
- Establish and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with logistics partners and service providers
- Monitor and review KPIs for transporters, clearing agents, and warehouse operations
- Support logistics tendering processes to improve cost efficiency and service quality
- Ensure accurate tariff and duty classification and payment processes
- Optimize inbound and outbound freight operations
- Improve vehicle and container utilization rates
Warehousing & Operational Excellence
- Oversee warehousing activities and ensure compliance with operational standards
- Manage third-party logistics suppliers effectively
- Ensure proper documentation, SOP implementation, and audit compliance
- Monitor freight and warehouse performance indicators
Financial & Compliance Management
- Ensure timely settlement of supplier invoices and logistics-related payments
- Maintain transparency in logistics cost management
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency
Project & Performance Management
- Lead logistics improvement projects
- Drive supply chain optimization and cost-saving initiatives
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in warehousing and freight management
- Prior experience within FMCG or logistics companies is preferred
- Strong knowledge of supply chain operations and logistics management
- Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills
- Experience managing logistics partners and external stakeholders
- Leadership and team management abilities
- Good understanding of KPIs, operational planning, and process improvement
