Job Description
Dangote Group is currently seeking a Junior Logistics Officer to join its team in Ogun State. This full-time position involves supporting the logistics unit by accurately managing truck dispatch operations including weigh-in/weigh-out activities for inbound and outbound trucks. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and precise documentation in accordance with the company’s customer service and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify truck documents before initiating the weighing process
- Ensure proper truck positioning on the weighbridge
- Accurately input driver and vehicle details into the system
- Manage stock transfer orders and update transaction records
- Monitor and document truck weights pre- and post-loading
- Report over/underloaded trucks to supervisors
- Generate waybills and weighment tickets
- Maintain accurate transaction logs and daily weighbridge reports
- Adhere to Dangote Cement’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Transport Management, Purchasing & Supply, or Business Administration
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory systems
- Familiarity with the cement manufacturing sector is an advantage
- Good command of system-based inventory and data entry tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and quality-driven mindset
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and project tracking tools
- Adaptability and a willingness to grow in a fast-paced environment
