1. Experienced Associate, PAS Immigration

Job Description

EY’s People Advisory Services (PAS) team seeks an Experienced Immigration Associate to support the Immigration Compliance and Advisory unit. The role involves assisting on multiple client engagements, developing analytical and project management skills, and contributing to capacity-building initiatives within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support multiple client engagements
  • Conduct analysis, manage tasks, and ensure timely deliverables
  • Identify issues, propose solutions, and address client needs
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Participate in research, marketing efforts, and training initiatives
  • Stay updated on immigration regulations and contribute to thought leadership
  • Prepare business communication reports and presentations
  • Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint effectively

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of Second Class Upper Degree in a Social Science discipline
  • Keen interest and good knowledge of Nigerian immigration laws and regulations
  • Understanding of immigration acts such as Nigeria Immigration Act 2015, Regulations 2017, NVP 2020
  • Knowledge of entry/exit protocols for ECOWAS and non-ECOWAS nationals

Experience preparing:

  • Expatriate Quota (EQ) applications
  • EQ returns, SSS returns, Understudy reports, TWP returns
  • Visa on Arrival (VOA) and Temporary Work Permit (TWP) applications
  • Familiarity with CERPAC-related applications at NIS

2. Senior, PAS Immigration

Job Description

The Senior Consultant will manage multiple client engagements within the immigration advisory unit and support knowledge transfer initiatives. The role demands strong analytical, leadership, and advisory skills, with a focus on managing client relationships and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise multiple client engagements
  • Manage client ledgers and ensure ownership of deliverables
  • Conduct research, identify issues, and propose solutions
  • Handle advisory tasks independently
  • Support commercial and marketing activities
  • Contribute to training, thought leadership, and knowledge transfer
  • Prepare high-level presentations and business documents
  • Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiently

Qualifications & Requirements

  • First Degree (Social Sciences preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian immigration regulations

In-depth understanding of:

  • Immigration Act 2015, Regulations 2017, NVP 2020
  • ECOWAS and Alien nationals entry/exit protocols
  • Prior experience processing:
  • Expatriate Quota (EQ) at the Federal Ministry of Interior
  • VOA and TWP applications
  • EQ returns, SSS returns, Understudy reports, TWP returns
  • Experience handling CERPAC applications in both Customs and Free Zone territories
  • Experience in writing alerts, news articles, and advisory opinions
