In line with its mandate to promote human capacity development and youth empowerment in the Niger Delta Region, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has concluded arrangements to train eligible Niger Delta youths in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Vehicle Conversion Technology across the nine states of the region.
This skills development and empowerment programme is designed to equip beneficiaries with practical and industry-relevant skills in Autogas Conversion Technology, thereby enhancing employability, supporting sustainable transportation, and promoting environmental conservation.
Job Description
The CNG Vehicle Conversion Training Programme aims to:
- Provide hands-on technical skills in Autogas and CNG vehicle conversion
- Promote cleaner energy use and reduce harmful emissions
- Create job opportunities and increase demand for skilled Autogas specialists
- Support sustainable transportation and economic growth in the Niger Delta
Qualifications & Requirements
To qualify for the programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be an indigene of any of the nine (9) Niger Delta states
- Minimum qualification of:
- SSCE/WAEC (Science-related subjects), or
- OND (Science-related disciplines), or
- Trade Test Certificate from a recognised institution
- Possession of other recognised technical qualifications related to:
- Automotive
- Mechanical
- Allied technical trades
- Fresh graduates in Engineering disciplines within the Niger Delta with a clear interest in CNG conversion technology are encouraged to apply
- Age requirement: 18 – 35 years
