Job Description
We are looking for a Nutrition and Quality Manager to oversee and enhance nutritional performance and quality assurance in our animal feed production lines. The successful candidate will lead feed formulation, maintain quality systems, and support technical and commercial teams with scientific insight and customer training.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and monitor least-cost feed formulations for poultry, ruminants (beef, dairy, sheep, goats), and optionally aqua feeds
- Ensure nutritional accuracy and quality control of raw materials using NIR calibration, proximate analysis, and mineral testing
- Supervise and improve process control and in-market product quality
- Implement and enforce quality assurance standards and feed safety protocols
- Stay updated on nutritional trends and regulatory changes
- Plan and execute R&D trials responsibly and effectively
- Collaborate with production, feed mill, and farm managers to optimize outputs
- Provide training and nutritional services to internal teams and customers
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences
- Postgraduate qualification in Animal Nutrition (preferred)
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years in animal feed nutrition and quality assurance
- Strong experience in feed formulation for poultry, cattle, ruminants, and preferably aqua feeds
Skills & Attributes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong people management abilities
- Ability to collaborate across functions (technical, commercial, and production teams)
- Knowledge of feed safety, NIR calibration, and lab techniques
- Comfortable with stakeholder engagement and customer-facing support
