Job Description
The Principal Audit Manager is responsible for leading and managing internal audit reviews, risk management processes, and compliance monitoring. The role involves assessing the effectiveness of controls, auditing systems and processes, and ensuring adherence to corporate policies and regulatory standards.
The successful candidate will also oversee the implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework across all functions within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a risk-based internal audit plan covering key departments such as finance, sales, marketing, IT, and customer service.
- Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls and recommend necessary improvements.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits following international standards.
- Prepare detailed audit reports, presenting findings and actionable recommendations.
- Monitor implementation of corrective measures and audit recommendations.
- Implement the ERM framework across all business functions.
- Identify emerging risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
- Track and report progress on risk mitigation actions.
- Conduct risk awareness and training programs across departments.
- Prepare and present standard risk reports to stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.

Professional certification: ACA, ACCA, or CIA (mandatory).

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in internal audit or risk management.

At least 4 years in a managerial position — preferably with one of the Big 4 audit firms.

Experience in the telecommunications industry is an added advantage.

Strong understanding of auditing standards, internal controls, and ERM frameworks.

Excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage teams and work independently under tight deadlines.
- High ethical standards and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel on short notice.
