Job Description

Churchgate Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to join its procurement team in Lagos. This one-year internship offers hands-on experience in procurement and supply chain management within the real estate industry.

The successful candidate will support sourcing activities, vendor management, procurement documentation, logistics coordination, and other procurement functions while gaining practical exposure to industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in sourcing suppliers and vendors for construction materials, equipment, and project-related services.
  • Conduct market research to identify qualified vendors and compare pricing, quality, and service offerings.
  • Support the preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and bid documents.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and supplier documentation.
  • Assist with vendor evaluation and performance monitoring to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate logistics and delivery schedules for materials and equipment to project sites.
  • Collaborate with project management, finance, and other departments to support procurement activities.
  • Participate in procurement meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
  • Support sustainable procurement initiatives and corporate social responsibility efforts.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Procurement Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants should possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in:
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Civil Engineering
    • Building Management
    • Or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest in procurement, supply chain management, and the real estate industry.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
  • Knowledge of procurement or ERP software (such as SAP) is an added advantage.
