Job Description
Oando Foundation is seeking a Programme Officer (Resource Mobilization and Partnerships) to support the design and execution of its fundraising and partnership initiatives in line with its strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Resource Mobilization
- Design and implement a 3-year resource mobilization plan and provide periodic progress reviews.
- Manage engagement with the Private Sector Advisory Group (PSAG), focusing on education initiatives.
- Support advocacy efforts across government, private sector, and civil society platforms.
- Identify new partnership opportunities and develop proposals/concept notes.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder and donor databases.
- Build and manage relationships with donors, grant-making bodies, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Lead targeted research to support resource mobilization and partnership priorities.
- Explore and test new fundraising opportunities and income generation models.
- Support communications team in maintaining media channels as fundraising tools.
Grants
- Develop and implement grant-making policies and guidelines.
- Review applications and conduct due diligence on grantees.
- Maintain accurate records of grant awards and reports.
- Monitor and evaluate funded projects to ensure compliance.
Programmes
- Support planning and implementation of the LEARNOVATE programme.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships at state and local levels.
- Oversee project monitoring and budget performance.
- Support consultants and partners in achieving programme targets.
Key Performance Indicators
- Timeliness and quality of progress and impact reports.
- Timely project delivery within budget.
- Success rate of projects and secured partnerships.
- Effective resolution of project challenges.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A First Degree in any discipline.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in the non-profit or development sector.
- Experience organizing trainings, seminars, and conferences.
- Knowledge of Northern Nigerian culture and language is an advantage.
