Job Description
Black Pelican Group is seeking a motivated and technically minded NYSC Corps Member to join its project team as a Project Monitoring Intern in Lekki, Lagos.
The successful candidate will support the planning, coordination, monitoring, and execution of construction and interior fit-out projects under the supervision of experienced engineers. This opportunity offers practical exposure to project documentation, site inspections, technical drawings, quality control, and collaboration with construction professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with project planning, coordination, and execution under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Support the preparation of structural designs, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports.
- Monitor project activities to help ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and agreed timelines.
- Work with architects, designers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to support smooth project delivery.
- Assist with project monitoring and documentation as assigned.
- Perform other relevant duties delegated by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Must be a currently serving NYSC Corps Member deployed to Lagos.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering and design software, such as:
- AutoCAD
- Revit
- Microsoft Project
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and contribute to high-quality project outcomes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and other project stakeholders.
