Job Description
The Quality Assurance Officer will be responsible for supporting the implementation and monitoring of quality management systems across clinical and administrative units. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with international and local healthcare standards, improving patient care outcomes, and promoting continuous quality improvement within oncology services.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field, such as:
- Nursing
- Medical Laboratory Science
- Pharmacy
- Public Health
- Health Administration
- A Master’s degree in Healthcare Quality Management or Health Administration is an added advantage.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in healthcare quality assurance or clinical governance
- Experience in oncology or outpatient care settings is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with clinical audits, risk management, and regulatory compliance
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of NCCN guidelines, ICARE standards, and relevant Nigerian healthcare regulations
- Understanding of clinical workflows in cancer care, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and diagnostics
- Ability toanalysee data and prepare reports on quality indicators and performance metrics
- Excellent communication, training, and staff engagement skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and quality improvement
