Job Description
Polaris Bank is recruiting for the position of Regional Compliance Manager across various regions in Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing compliance operations within assigned regions, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies, and fostering a culture of compliance across branches.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee compliance operations across assigned regions, ensuring full adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Assist in implementing compliance strategies and monitoring compliance activities.
- Collaborate with Branch Managers, Internal Control Officers, and branch staff to strengthen compliance culture.
- Act as a point of contact with regulatory agencies and support audit examinations.
- Provide expert advice on complex regulatory issues and identify emerging risks.
- Leverage compliance tools and technologies to identify and mitigate risks.
- Accurately prepare compliance reports and ensure timely engagement with regulators.
- Stay updated with industry standards and best practices, applying them to mitigate risks.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of relevant work experience.
- Additional academic qualifications are an advantage.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CIBN, DCP, ACAMs, ACA, ACCA, or ICAN will be an added advantage.
