Job Description
The Relationship Officer (Retail Sales) will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and driving sales of retail banking products. The role requires strong market knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to meet sales targets in a competitive banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire and manage retail banking customers
- Promote and sell retail banking products and services
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Support branch sales targets and revenue growth
- Provide market intelligence on customer needs and competitors
- Prepare sales reports and performance updates
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery
Qualifications & Requirements
- First degree in a Business-related discipline
- A master’s degree or professional certification is an added advantage
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in retail banking or sales
- Strong knowledge of the Nigerian retail banking market
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and team management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and reporting
