Job Description
Buffer is seeking a Senior Hiring Specialist to lead and refine its recruitment processes, helping identify and attract values-aligned, talented individuals from around the world. This role will focus on enhancing Buffer’s talent acquisition, onboarding, and employer branding efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and optimize Buffer’s hiring process from job posting to onboarding.
- Support hiring managers and consult on job application language and recruitment tools.
- Manage screening, documentation, and internal hiring guides.
- Build and maintain a Talent Pool of potential future hires.
- Collaborate with team leads to anticipate future hiring needs.
- Strengthen Buffer’s onboarding experience and buddy system.
- Partner with Marketing & Content teams to enhance employer branding.
- Represent Buffer at podcasts, events, and conferences.
- Oversee applicant experience and report hiring data.
- Manage community engagement across social platforms and Discord.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in HR, Recruiting, Community Management, Marketing, or related fields.
- Proven experience handling large-scale communications and relationship management.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Experience in SaaS or tech environments preferred.
- Familiarity with Buffer’s brand, culture, and community.
- Proficiency with hiring tools (e.g., Ashby) and applicant tracking systems.
- Excellent organization skills — ability to manage multiple processes efficiently.
- Creative and passionate about transparency, storytelling, and public engagement.
