Job Description

Carbon MFB is recruiting SME Business Development Officers to drive customer acquisition, relationship management, and SME lending growth across designated locations. The ideal candidate will support small and medium businesses with access to finance while identifying new opportunities, expanding the bank’s customer network, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, onboard, and manage SME clients across assigned territories.
  • Promote Carbon’s loan products and financial solutions tailored to SMEs.
  • Build strong relationships with SME owners to drive repeat business and referrals.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities.
  • Ensure timely loan applications, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Meet monthly sales targets and contribute to overall business expansion.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and leads.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BSc/HND) in any discipline.
  • 2–5 years’ experience in sales, business development, or financial services.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer-relationship skills.
  • Ability to work independently, achieve sales targets, and manage field activities.
  • Knowledge of SME financing is an added advantage.
