Job Description
Norrenberger Financial Group is seeking a motivated and curious Software Engineering Intern (NYSC) to support the development and optimization of its web and backend systems.
This internship provides a hands-on learning environment where you will collaborate with experienced engineers, contribute to real projects, and build practical software development skills using modern tools and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and maintaining backend APIs (primarily using Node.js)
- Support frontend development tasks using React when required
- Identify, troubleshoot, and fix bugs while improving existing features
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Collaborate with engineering teams on feature development and enhancements
- Participate in code reviews and implement feedback
- Support testing, debugging, and system documentation
Qualifications & Requirements
Core Requirements:
- Above-average knowledge of JavaScript and/or Python
- Basic familiarity with Node.js or React
- Understanding of REST API concepts and functionality
- Experience using Git or any version control system
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
Eligibility:
- Recent graduates in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
- Must be a Batch A2 2026 NYSC corps member posted to Abuja (FCT)
